James Shaw

James Shaw has a diverse range of work experience in various leadership roles. In 2010, they started as a Professional Services Manager at speakTECH before transitioning into a Director role at Perficient, where they managed a large-scale project for a Fortune 50 computer company. From 2013 to 2015, they served as the Vice President of Engineering at Clear Measure, leading the growth of the engineering team and focusing on creating a culture of authenticity and excellence. In 2016, they joined Globalscape, Inc. as a Senior Director of Engineering, where they implemented improvements to engineering, project management, and product management processes. From 2017 to 2018, they held the role of Senior Director of Engineering at CentralReach, LLC, leading a remote team of Engineering and QA professionals. In 2015, they were the Director of Engineering for Site Automation at Wikibuy. Additionally, they founded Tell Them Everything in 2016, a blog and private community for software executives to discuss various topics. Currently, they are the Chief Operating Officer at Inventive Group, Inc., overseeing multiple companies specializing in custom application development, startup incubation, and expert-led training. James also serves as a Steering Group Advisor at F1 in Schools North America. Finally, they were the President of The Resist Attack Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on helping women protect themselves from violence.
