Joanne Gardner

Joanne Gardner serves as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Invest Ottawa since June 2022, collaborating with senior leadership to realize the organization's strategic plans. Additionally, Joanne is the Director of the Prototyping Lab at Cours Bayview Yards, leading a dedicated team in creating innovative prototypes for tech firms and entrepreneurs. As Principal at JE Gardner Consulting, Joanne focuses on developing strategic programs aimed at sustainable community building. Previous roles include Senior Manager of Customer & Business Intelligence at Invest Ottawa, Senior Partnerships Lead at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, and Executive Director of the energy4everyone Foundation, where Joanne oversaw impactful international projects. With an MBA from the Telfer School of Management and a Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Psychology from Western University, Joanne combines extensive experience in business development, operations, and community partnership creation.
