Michael Horkan has over 25 years of experience in engineering and design. Michael started their career at Megatech Engineering as a Designer from 1993 to 1996. Michael then worked at Gilbar Engineering as a Designer, where they designed various components and accessories for motorcycles and vehicles. From 1997 to 1998, they served as a Design Engineer at Plastic Omnim Industries, leading the design of fuel systems.
In 1998, Michael joined Virtex International Unigraphics as a Unigraphics Application Engineer, where they trained designers and implemented best modeling practices. Michael then moved on to Venture Industries, where they held the role of Unigraphics Designer and later Lead Design Engineer. At Venture, they designed interior garnish trim assemblies and coordinated design activities.
In 2000, Michael joined Cadence Innovation as a Sr. Product Engineer, overseeing the Interior Garnish Trim team and leading multiple interior trim programs. Michael worked on optimizing attachment schemes, developing DFMEAs, and overseeing program launch activities. In 2008, they joined Jacobsen/Textron as a Sr. Designer - Unigraphics, responsible for developing complete product lines and addressing design issues across all product lines.
Their most recent role is as a Project Engineer at InVue, where they have been since 2015.
Michael Horkan began their education journey in 1990 when they attended the Batavia School of Drafting. During their time there, they pursued a degree named M.I.M.A in Automotive component drafting. Michael completed their studies at Batavia School of Drafting in 1991.
