Roland Löschner, MBA, PMP®, has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over 18 years. Roland began their career at Bundeswehr Wir. Dienen. Deutschland., serving as a Technical Officer 1st Line Maintenance from May 2004 to June 2007 and later as a Project Member and Captain from July 2007 to April 2011.
Following their military service, Roland worked at CAE as a Systemmanager Tornado from October 2010 to September 2011, where they managed the Customer Service Team for Tornado flight simulators and led a team of six engineers. Roland was responsible for contract negotiations, financial and budget management, and oversaw multi-million Euro upgrade projects.
In 2011, Roland joined GE as a Project Manager, overseeing the functional and commercial management of projects for Non-Destructive-Testing Machines across various industries. Roland successfully managed 20+ projects simultaneously and handled high-profile customer accounts. Roland'stenure at GE lasted from October 2011 to June 2012.
Continuing their career in the MedTech industry, Roland joined IBA in 2012, where they held various roles and contributed significantly to the growth and success of the organization. Roland served as the Site Manager for the Proton Therapy Center in Uppsala, Sweden, from June 2014 to January 2015, leading the timely and under-budget delivery of the state-of-the-art facility. Roland also worked as a Project Manager in Uppsala from January 2015 to September 2015, demonstrating their expertise in managing projects, customer relationships, and collaboration with internal departments.
Roland then took on the role of Site Manager for the Proton Therapy Center in Dresden from July 2012 to December 2015, achieving the delivery of the first Proton Therapy Center in East-Germany under budget, ahead of schedule, and with exceptional quality. During this time, they were responsible for leading and managing multiple Proton Therapy Centers in the USA and Europe as the Director of Operations Americas & Europe, a position they still hold as of January 2022. In this role, Roland provides visionary leadership, strategic direction, and continuous improvement initiatives for the Customer Service Department. Roland also manages customer relations and contracts, ensuring the highest level of service and satisfaction.

Roland Löschner, MBA, PMP® has a diverse education history. In 1999 to 2003, they obtained a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering specializing in Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik from the Bundeswehr University Munich. Following this, in 2007 to 2011, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration from Henley Business School. In the same year, Roland also acquired expertise in SAP Netweaver 2004s BI from the SAP Schulungszentrum. Additionally, they completed a business English program known as BEC-Higher at the University of Cambridge. In 2012, Roland obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Roland further enhanced their skills with a Fachkunde Partikeltherapie qualification gained at Oncoray.
