Giuseppe Pica

Giuseppe Pica has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Giuseppe started their career as a Visiting Researcher at Princeton University in 2013. Giuseppe then worked as a PhD student and Research Fellow at the University of St Andrews, where they focused on quantum computing applications and presented their findings at international conferences. During this time, they also worked as a Statistics and Maths consultant. In 2014, they gained practical experience as a Paid Intern at GLP Intellectual Property Office. From 2016 to 2019, Giuseppe worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, developing machine learning algorithms and statistical models. Their work in this role earned him recognition and a seal of excellence from the European Commission. Currently, Giuseppe serves as the Lead Data Scientist at ION, where they lead a multidisciplinary team and supports strategic planning with data-driven insights.

Giuseppe Pica completed a Master's degree in Physics from the Università di Pisa in the years 2006 to 2011. Giuseppe then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics at the University of St Andrews from 2011 to 2015.
