Susann Schmidt

Susann Schmidt is a highly skilled Process Engineer at Ionbond IHI Group since February 2017, with extensive academic experience as an Assistant Professor, PostDoc, and PhD student at Linköping University since January 2009. Specialist in carbon-based thin films and High Power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering (HiPIMS) processes, Susann has conducted significant research on thin film characterization, mechanical properties, and synthesis techniques. As a Detector Scientist at the European Spallation Source ERIC since March 2015, contributions to detector technology have been made. Previous roles include Engineer in materials research at Qimonda GmbH & Co. OHG, Manufacturing Engineer at AMD Saxony LLC & Co. KG, and Diploma Student at the Alfred-Wegener-Institute of polar and marine research. Susann holds a PhD in Materials Science from Linköping University and a Dipl. Ing. in Applied Physics from the University of Applied Science, Zwickau.
