Karolina Niewola

Director of Business Development and Strategic Alliances at iOnctura

Karolina Niewola has an extensive work experience in business development, molecular biology, and global health. Karolina began their career in 2008 with a Summer Studentship at the University of Calgary Global Health Program. In 2010, they were an Intern in the Policy and Development unit of TDR at the World Health Organization. Karolina also worked as a Research Associate in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at the University of Calgary. In 2011, they moved to Université de Genève, where they worked as a Research Associate in Molecular Biology. In 2017, they joined the University of Geneva as a Scientific Collaborator at Technology Transfer Office (UNITEC). In 2018, they were appointed as Director of Sales and Business Development at Neurix SA. Karolina also held the position of Business Development and Strategic Alliance Manager and Director of Business Development and Strategic Alliances at iOnctura.

Karolina Niewola obtained a Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHSc) from the University of Calgary between 2006 and 2011, majoring in Biomedical Science. Karolina then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Biology from the University of Geneva, which they completed in 2016.
