Tong Li, PhD has worked in a variety of roles since 2013. In 2013, they were a Summer Intern at both PetroChina and SINOPEC. From 2016 to 2021, they were a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Victoria, and in 2020, they were a Guest Editor at Polymers Journal. In 2021, they became a Co-Founder of Poly V. Technology Incorporation and a Postdoctoral Researcher and Technician (NMR) at The University of British Columbia. Currently, they are an Academic Board Advisor at SINTEF and a Product Line Manager at Ionomr Innovations Inc., where they work on Green Hydrogen Market, Ion-exchange membrane, Water electrolysis and CO2 electrolyzer technology.
Tong Li, PhD has a comprehensive education history. In 2010, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Material Science and Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology. Tong then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Polymer/Plastics Engineering at The University of Akron from 2013 to 2015. In 2016, they received their Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the University of Victoria. In 2019, they completed a Collaboration and Exchange Project (Ph.D) in Polymer Chemistry at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In 2021, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Science Technology and Commercialization from Simon Fraser University. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from various institutions, including a Grad certificate of Invention to Innovation (mini-MBA) from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University, a McGill Personal Finance Essentials Completion Certificate from McGill University - Desautels Faculty of Management, and Excel 1: Core Data Analysis and Python 1: Core Data Analysis from The Marquee Group.
