Hemant K.

Hemant K.'s work experience includes a role as a Senior Engineer at IonQ starting in 2023. Prior to this, Hemant worked at the Institute for Quantum Computing, starting in 2019, where they held positions as a Mitacs Accelerate PostDoc and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. During their time at the Institute, they focused on faster gate implementation in superconducting qubits under the supervision of Prof. Christopher Wilson and Dr. Aharon Brodutch. Hemant also worked as a Mitacs Accelerate PostDoc at Mitacs and Entangled Networks in 2022.

Hemant K. pursued their education in physics, starting with a BS MS dual degree from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune. Hemant attended the institute from 2007 to 2012. Hemant then went on to pursue a higher level of education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Physics with a specialization in quantum computing from the University of Waterloo. Hemant attended the university from 2014 to 2019.
