Shafiq Boomgaard

Shafiq Boomgaard is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in technology and digital platforms. Currently serving as Regional Director and Head of Delivery for Europe at IoT.nxt since April 2022, Shafiq previously held various key roles at Vodacom, including Executive Head of Digital Platforms A.I. and Managing Executive for Digital Platforms from July 2020 to April 2022, as well as Executive Head of Big Data Technology between 2018 and July 2020. Prior to this, Shafiq worked at Vodafone from November 2013 to July 2018, where responsibilities included Head of Delivery for Internet, International Transmission, and Submarine Systems, along with the position of Global IP/Internet Manager. Shafiq's career at Vodacom also featured a role as Executive Head of Division for ISP Network from July 2008 to December 2013. Shafiq is an alumnus of the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
