Vanessa Cao

Vanessa Cao has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Vanessa has worked as the Head of Community at IOV Labs since September 2021 and as the Global Social Media Manager since August 2019. Before that, they served as the Head of Marketing and Operations at TRON Foundation from August 2018 to April 2019 and as the Chief of Staff from April 2018 to August 2018. Vanessa also worked as a Business & Marketing Translator at UnionPay International from July 2015 to December 2018 and as a Contract Research Analyst at a Security Investigation Firm from January 2015 to December 2018. Vanessa has additional experience as a CGCP Translator at Stanford Law School, a Transcriptionist at Monterey Language Services, and a Freelance Literary Translator. Vanessa has also worked as a Simultaneous Interpreter in a freelance capacity and as a Message Transcriptionist at California Voter Hotline. Additionally, they have held roles as a Translations Editor and a Language Access Intern at Transcend Translations.

Vanessa Cao completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature at the University of Virginia from 2010 to 2014. Vanessa later pursued their Master's degree in Conference Interpretation, specializing in Chinese, at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey from 2014 to 2016.
