Afonso Bica

Afonso Bica has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Afonso currently works as a DevSecOps Engineer at iownit capital and markets, Inc. since January 2023. Prior to this, Afonso worked as a Musician at La Guatemala in 2016. From November 2019 to December 2022, they were a DevSecOps Engineer at Capgemini Engineering. Afonso also served as a Cloud Administrator & Data Engineer at Altran from November 2019 to April 2021. Before that, they worked as an IT Support Technician at AT - Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira from December 2017 to November 2019. In 2017, they gained experience as an IT Intern at APQ - Associação Portuguesa para a Qualidade. In 2016, Afonso held multiple roles at EBI - Investigação E Desenvolvimento, including IT Manager and IT Intern, and also worked as an IT Intern at Lusíadas Saúde from October 2016 to January 2017.

Afonso Bica studied at Aerlis Oeiras from 2015 to 2018, where they obtained a degree in Técnico de Gestão e Instalação de Redes with a focus on Redes de Sistemas e Telecomunicações. Additionally, they have completed several certifications, including Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals for AWS Professionals from Coursera in July 2020, AWS Certified Security – Specialty from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2021, and AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2021.
