Samuel B. Hewlett, PMP, CISSP has extensive work experience that spans over several decades. Samuel B. began their career as a Systems Engineer at IBM Federal Systems Division in 1982, where they carried out various system engineering assignments related to sonar sensor simulators and LAN-based distributed signal processing systems. During their time at IBM, they also played a crucial role in investigating and evaluating high hardware failure rates, resulting in improved circuit card reliability and cost savings for the customer.

In 1994, Hewlett joined User Technology Associates as a Network Engineer, where they solved complex network engineering problems and designed LAN/WAN solutions for the deployment of custom-designed hotel management software. This role showcased their expertise in integrating TCP/IP, SNA, and Novell IPX/SPX protocols on the same network interface card.

Moving on, Hewlett joined GDIT in 1996 and held multiple roles within the company. As a Senior IT Project Manager and Principal Engineer, they supported customer IT infrastructure projects and was responsible for all aspects of IT project management. Samuel B. excelled in requirements development, project planning and budgeting, site surveys, schedule development and management, cost control analysis, and stakeholder management. Additionally, they served as the Operations Manager at the IRS Computer Security Incident Response Center (CSIRC), overseeing its 24/7 operations and managing a team of 32 cybersecurity analysts.

Subsequently, in 2011, Hewlett became the Managing Director and Program Manager at Red Arch Solutions. In this role, they successfully completed the start-up of the Defense Intelligence Managing Director and Solutions for Information Technology Enterprise (SITE) Facilities Modernization Task Order (FMTO) Program. Samuel B. managed all aspects of the $60M 5-year program, leading a multidisciplinary team and ensuring the successful execution of various IT infrastructure projects.

From 2014 to 2015, Hewlett worked at Associated Veterans as a Program Manager, providing program management support to the End User Systems Division at the Department of the Interior. Samuel B. evaluated project management maturity levels and improved project management practices by standardizing methodologies based on PMI concepts.

Their most recent role was at Foxhole Technology, where they served as the Deputy Program Manager. Samuel B. played a vital role in enhancing the cyber security posture and maturity of the USAID, responsible for the financial performance of the program and all staffing activities.

In 2016, Hewlett joined IP-Plus Consulting, Inc. as a Project Manager, further leveraging their skills and experience in managing projects effectively.

Samuel B. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in Solid State Electronics and Digital Systems from Howard University, where they studied from 1980 to 1982. Additionally, Samuel has pursued Mathematics at the University of the Virgin Islands.

In addition to their formal education, Samuel B. Hewlett has also obtained various certifications. In 2005, they achieved the CISSP certification from PMI (Project Management Institute). In 2008, they obtained the ITIL V3 Foundation certification from AXELOS and the PMP (Project Management Professional) certification from PMI Project Management Institute.
