Andreas Genest

Andreas Genest has a diverse work experience in various industries. Andreas started their career in 2006 as a volunteer at Norwood, where they provided education and care for people with learning disabilities. In 2007, they worked as a trainee at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht Zentrum für Material- und Küstenforschung.

In 2008, Andreas joined the Hamburg University of Technology as a StartING Tutor, where they mentored first-year engineering students, helping them with various aspects of their studies. Andreas continued in this role until 2010.

From 2011 to 2021, Andreas worked at ifu Institut für Umweltinformatik Hamburg GmbH as part of their Research & Consulting department. Andreas focused on Energy- & Resource Efficiency and Life Cycle Assessment, providing software solutions and expertise in these areas.

Since 2017, Andreas has been employed at iPoint-systems gmbh, initially as a member of the Sustainability Services team and later as a Senior Consultant in the same field. Andreas continues to contribute to the company's sustainability initiatives.

Andreas Genest began their education in 2007 at Hamburg University of Technology, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Energy and Environmental Engineering. Andreas completed their bachelor's degree in 2011. In the same year, they participated in an exchange program at Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Toulouse, focusing on Process Engineering.

Continuing their studies, Andreas pursued a Master of Science in Energy and Environmental Engineering at Hamburg University of Technology from 2011 to 2014. During their master's program, they also spent a year as an exchange student at UNSW, concentrating on Sustainable Manufacturing.

In 2017, Andreas enrolled at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau to pursue a Master of Engineering in Software Engineering for Embedded Systems. Andreas is currently working towards their degree, which is expected to be completed in 2022.
