Hema Goonewardena

Hema Goonewardena is a highly experienced Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer with a career spanning over two decades in the engineering and construction sectors. Currently at IPS since March 2022, Hema specializes in design works for pharmaceutical companies, focusing on instrument ranges and HVAC design requirements. Previous roles include Manager EICA at TWRP, Resident Engineer at B&V, and Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor at Bechtel Corporation, where Hema oversaw various critical installations and design checks. With a solid foundation in electrical and control systems acquired through an Honours degree and a Master's degree from the University of Surrey, Hema has contributed expertise to projects for notable firms such as Fluor Corporation and WorleyParsons, emphasizing design, construction supervision, and commissioning across diverse industries.
