Sandra Silvestri

Sandra Silvestri, MD, PhD, currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Ipsen, and as a member of the Board of Directors at GENFIT. Previously, Sandra held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for the General Medicine Business Unit at Sanofi from March 2015 to May 2023, overseeing a global team of 1,200 medical affairs professionals and managing a business of €13 billion in sales. With extensive experience in medical affairs, clinical development, and team leadership across multiple global markets, Sandra has also worked at Eli Lilly and Company, where responsibilities included leading medical teams in Europe and coordinating cross-functional projects in immunology and dermatology. Sandra's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree, a PhD in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases, and additional specializations in endocrinology and genetics.
