Shahrzad Amirani

Shahrzad Amirani is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Currently serving as VP and Head of New Products & Innovation at Ipsen since September 2018, Shahrzad previously held the position of Chief Strategy Officer at Iridium Therapeutics from January 2017 to August 2018. At Sanofi, Shahrzad held various leadership roles over nearly a decade, including VP and Head of Product Innovation, Vice President of New Product Marketing, and Chief of Staff for the Global Integrated Care Center of Excellence. Earlier experience includes roles at sanofi-aventis, Pfizer, and Lucent Technologies, alongside an academic appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Texas at Arlington. Shahrzad holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a focus on applied statistics, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, both from The University of Texas at Arlington.
