Lee Ivey has over 25 years of experience in software engineering. Lee began their career in 1991 as a Software Engineer at Age Logic. In 1995, they moved to Scitronix, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they wrote software for standalone and networked smart battery chargers using RTXC RTOS, on an M68HC11 microcontroller. In 1996, they joined L-3 Communications as a Senior Design Engineer, where they wrote IRIX, Linux, and NT, PCI device drivers for a high performance ground station for satellite communications and telemetry systems. Lee also helped create a software configuration management system that was multi-hosted and multi-targeted. In 2001, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Stonefly Networks. Lee then moved to Cubic in 2002 as a Principal Software Engineer. In 2004, they became a Principal Software Engineer/Lead at Overland Storage, where they led a team of software developers that created iSCSI/FC storage appliances. In 2011, they took on a Software Consultant role at Solekai Systems. In 2016, they joined Samsung Electronics as a Sr Staff Software Engineer. Most recently, they have been working at IPS Group, Inc. as a Sr. Embedded Software Engineer, where they are responsible for smart parking meter platforms utilizing TI MSP430 (IAR and C), and another one utilizing Linux/Yocto/ARM, that operate in a low power, battery environment. Lee has also designed and implemented drivers that support Telit's GE865, CE/UE/LE910, and Quectel's BG96/BG95 modems, and improved transaction latency from over five minutes to below ninety seconds.
Lee Ivey received their MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from San Diego State University in 2003. Lee obtained their BS in Computer Engineering from UC San Diego between 1986 and 1992.
