Scott Weldon has had a varied work experience in the software engineering field, beginning in 2011 when they were a Grader and Tutor for the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at The Master's University. In 2014, they became a Junior Programmer at SCVdata, where they developed custom web applications and web sites for a handful of businesses and converted a large and complex full-stack PHP application to Laravel. In 2016, they joined Outlyer Technologies as a JavaScript Developer, where they built a full stack web application and a RESTful API in C#/ASP.NET, receiving data from over 400 million unique views monthly. In 2017, they began working as a Contract Software Engineer at Embark Studio, refactoring an important and fragile portion of Node.js codebase. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Contract Software Engineer at Ludum Loligo Games, doing contract software development on the Loligocide game using Game Maker Studio (with associated Game Maker Language) and beginning to implement Game Maker Studio integration for Tiled map editor. In 2021, they began working as a Software Engineer at IPS Group, Inc.
Scott Weldon obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The Master's University between 2010 and 2015. In October 2019, they became a Triplebyte certified Generalist Software Engineer.
