Gareth Smith

Gareth Smith is the current Head of Fund Operations at Guernsey-based IQ-EQ. Prior to this, they served as Director of Investment Management Solutions at Lawson Conner from November 2016 to September 2021. In this role, Gareth worked with Alternative Investment funds on prospective fund launches under the FCA regulatory framework. Lawson Conner provides an award winning Investment Management and Regulatory/Compliance framework from which to host new funds. Prior to their role at Lawson Conner, Gareth was a Senior Sales & Relationship Manager, Hedge Funds at Bloomberg LP from March 2016 to October 2016. From February 2011 to February 2016, they served as Financial Sales & Relationship Manager, Northern Europe at Bloomberg LP, responsible for managing the relationships of key accounts across the region. Gareth has also held the position of Sales Associate, London Buy Side at Bloomberg LP from January 2008 to February 2011.

Gareth Smith has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Reading, a certification from the CFA UK in Investments and Securities, and a diploma from the Society Technical Analysts in Technical Analysis.
