Rupert Christie is a software engineer intern at IQ. Rupert previously worked as a senior technical support engineer at Dell EMC from October 2015 to October 2021. In this role, they provided support for all components of a storage area network, including storage controllers, expansion hard drive enclosure, FC switches (Broadcom), servers and virtualization (Hyper-V and VMware). Rupert also advised customers on storage network optimization.
Rupert is experienced in system analysis and has a deep understanding of how storage networks work. Rupert is able to quickly diagnose hardware faults and arrange hardware replacements where required. Rupert is also skilled in making changes and modifications to systems while they are in production, in order to minimize downtime or interruption.
In addition to their work experience, Rupert has also provided upskill training classes and mentorship to new hires. Rupert is a valuable asset to any team, and their skills and knowledge make him an excellent software engineer intern at IQ.
Rupert Christie has a M.Sc. in Computing from Dublin City University in Software Engineering, a Computer & Electronic Engineering (BAI) from Trinity College Dublin with a Second Class Honours, Grade 2, and certifications from the Road Safety Authority in Irish Driving Licence, Dell EMC in Dell SC Storage Professional (DSDSC-200), SNIA in SNIA Certified Storage Professional (SCSP), and Nutanix in Nutanix Platform Professional (4.5).
They are on a team with Ian Weller - Software Engineer, Alan Calabrese - Software Engineer, and Jacob Hanko - Software Engineer. Rupert Christie reports to Ryan Ernst, Software Engineering Manager.
