Michael Deckner has extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Michael currently holds the position of Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at IQ Ventures since March 2021. Prior to that, they founded their own company, Deckner Consulting, in July 2020.
From 2019 to 2021, they served as the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at Community Choice Financial, Inc. Before that, from 2017 to 2019, they were the Managing Partner at Pivotis.
Michael also held the position of Managing Director at Argus Information and Advisory Services from 2015 to 2017, where they were the Head of Forecasting & Regulatory Services Practice and led client engagement teams. From 2014 to 2015, they served as the SVP Client Solutions at Analyttica Datalab.
Michael'searlier experience includes a long tenure at Citi, where they held various senior director roles from 1995 to 2014. In these roles, they championed the vision and direction of a global analytic function and oversaw strategies and tactics for a high-risk credit card portfolio.
Before joining Citi, they worked as an Account Executive at Norman Jaspan Associates from 1988 to 1989, where they served as a relationship manager and directed in-field employees.
Michael Deckner attended MacArthur High School from 1981 to 1983. Following their high school education, they went on to study Applied Economics & Business Management at Cornell University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree.
