Jay H. Gangwal

Mr. Gangwal is a Principal of IRA Capital. His primary responsibilities include directing IRA’s investment and financing strategies, while overseeing the firm’s institutional capital markets relationships. Prior to IRA Capital, Mr. Gangwal served as Director of Acquisitions at Douglas Wilson Companies and was previously a Principal with the Chesapeake Equity Fund at Legg Mason Real Estate Investors (LMREI) where he was responsible for joint venture equity placements and principal investments. Before transitioning to the buy-side, Mr. Gangwal was a Vice President at CWCapital and GE Capital where he originated over $1.0 Billion of senior and mezzanine debt for commercial real estate projects. Throughout his career, Mr. Gangwal has purchased or financed over $3.5 Billion of commercial real estate across product types and investment strategies.

Mr. Gangwal received his undergraduate degree in Finance and MIS from the California State University, Northridge. He is an active member of ICSC, NAIOP, and ULI.
