Marcelo Hirata

Marcelo Hirata has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the IT and technology sector. Marcelo currently holds the position of Digital Leader/CIO & IT Director/Head of Innovation at IRB Brasil RE since October 2017. Prior to that, they worked as CIO & IT Head at Vodafone Brasil from January 2013 to September 2017. Marcelo has also held roles such as International Relations Director and ASUG Board Member at ASUG Brasil from July 2019 to December 2021 and from January 2022 onwards, respectively. Marcelo Hirata served as a Board Member at B3i from March 2020 to July 2022. Marcelo has also worked in IT leadership positions at companies such as Edenred, Zatix S/A, Credigy Financial Services, Gafisa S.A., Banco GE Capital, and Telesp Celular, where they showcased their expertise in project implementation, system development, cost reduction, and revenue generation.

Marcelo Hirata completed an Executive Education Management program in Systematic Innovation of Products, Processes, and Services at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology - Sloan School of Management in 2018. Marcelo also earned an MBA in Information Technology from USP - FEA in 2002. Previously, in 1993, they completed a Post Graduation program in System Analysis Specialist at FAAP. Marcelo Hirata obtained a Graduation degree in Technical Data Processing from Mackenzie University in 1990, and a Graduation degree in Business Administration from the same university in 1986. Additionally, they hold a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
