Julien Kirsch has extensive work experience in the software and system development field. Julien started their career in 1998 at Newbridge Networks where they worked as a Software Designer, focusing on the SDSL, ADSL, and VDSL product line. Julien also contributed to the development of the Video over DSL solution. In 2000, they moved to Alcatel-Lucent where they held the position of Senior Software Designer. During their time there, they worked on projects such as the OmniAccess 8550 Web Service Gateway and the Alcatel-Lucent 5529 Inventory Data Management and 5529 OSS Alarm Dispatcher products. Julien led a multi-site development and test team for these projects. In 2011, they joined BlackBerry as a Software Designer and quickly advanced to the role of Senior Software Developer. Julien led teams and acted as a Technical Lead on various projects, including the BlackBerry Picture Password and Verizon Single Sign-on products. Julien was also responsible for mobile identity, biometrics, behavioral authentication, and mobile cloud development. In 2014, Julien was promoted to Manager of Software Development, leading the Identity Platform R&D team and managing up to 6 developers. In 2015, they joined Wind River as a Senior Member of Technical Staff. Currently, Julien is working at Irdeto where they hold the positions of Principal System Engineer and Principal Devops Engineer.
Julien Kirsch has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering and Telecommunication from Université de Metz, which they obtained between the years 1992 and 1996. Julien also possesses a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering and Telecommunication from CentraleSupélec, which they attained from 1996 to 1998.
