Pranav Suvarna has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. In 2013, they began their career as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in the Offshore Oil & Gas Sector at Leighton Asia. Pranav'sresponsibilities included reviewing tender documents, preparing construction scopes of work, and evaluating vendor offers.
In 2014, Pranav worked as a Junior Engineer at Enova, where they focused on HVAC design for commercial, healthcare, and data center buildings. Pranav conducted heat load calculations, sized pipes and ducts, and selected appropriate machines for air conditioning systems.
From 2016 to 2016, Pranav interned at GEA Group as an Experimental Fluid Mechanics & Data Processing Intern. Pranav'sproject involved studying pressure drop correlations in wet return line risers for refrigeration systems. Pranav conducted a literature study, identified crucial parameters, and tested their effects.
At Technische Universiteit Delft, Pranav served as a Graduate Research Student from 2018 to 2020. Pranav'sMaster's thesis focused on Direct Numerical Simulations of heat transfer in a turbulent channel flow over fractal roughness. Pranav performed an extensive literature study and identified important parameters in the design of rough surfaces to enhance heat transfer with a lower pressure drop penalty. Additionally, they worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Numerical Methods for Differential Equations course in 2018.
In 2021, Pranav joined AthenaStudies as a Tutor, where they scheduled and structured the curriculum for a crash course on Dynamics of Bodies. Pranav conducted online lectures for Applied Numerical Analysis & Dynamics of Bodies and provided support to international BSc students.
Currently, Pranav is working at Irdeto as a Service Operations Engineer, starting in June 2021. The details of this role are not yet specified.
Pranav Suvarna completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans Sardar Patel College Of Engineering, from 2009 to 2013. Later, they pursued a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Sustainable Process & Energy Technology, at Delft University of Technology, from 2015 to 2020.
