Omid Nia

Omid Nia is an experienced professional in product engineering and certification, currently serving as Associate Director at Iridium since January 2019. Nia's background includes significant roles such as Senior Manager and Principal Engineer in the field of RF/EMC, contributing to extensive projects involving multi-billion dollar satellite constellations and complex network systems. Prior to joining Iridium, Nia was a Project Manager and Senior RF Engineer at Morcom International, managing high-profile wireless network projects and demonstrating expertise in RF analysis and engineering design. Nia also held positions in data center operations at Amazon Web Services and patent analysis in telecommunications at CPA Global, showcasing a diverse skill set in engineering and technical project management. Nia is currently advancing towards a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at George Mason University, with a Master's degree in Computer Systems from Hood College.
