Wanda Nixon has a diverse work experience in engineering and systems roles. Wanda began their career at Motorola in 1995 as a Systems and Hardware Engineer, where they worked until 2005. Wanda then joined General Dynamics as a Systems Engineer from 2006 to 2008. Following this, they worked at General Dynamics C4 Systems as a Senior Systems Engineer from 2006 to 2009. In 2006, Wanda also started working at Boeing as a Systems Engineer and later became the Iridium Ground Systems I&T Lead. Wanda worked at Boeing until 2017. In 2017, Wanda joined Iridium as a Senior Systems Engineer until 2018. Wanda then progressed to become a Principal Engineer at Iridium from 2018 to 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Engineering Manager at Iridium since 2021, and is also an Associate Director of Engineering - SI&T starting in October 2022.
Wanda Nixon pursued their education from 1985 to 1990 at the Florida Institute of Technology, where they attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
