Danny McPherson

Danny McPherson has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Danny currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at Iris Healthcare, which they started in October 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as a Software Architect at the same company from January 2020 to October 2021, and as a Senior Software Engineer from August 2017 to January 2020.

Before joining Iris Healthcare, Danny worked at Indeed.com as a Senior Software Engineer from March 2016 to July 2017. Prior to that, they were employed at RetailMeNot, Inc. as a Staff Software Engineer from July 2014 to February 2016, and as a Senior Software Engineer from July 2014 to February 2016.

Danny also has experience working at Bazaarvoice, where they held various roles including Part-time Software Engineer from January 2013 to June 2014, Next-Gen Client Portal & Reporting Project Team Lead from May 2012 to December 2012, Senior Software Engineer from January 2011 to April 2012, and Java Developer from June 2007 to January 2011.

In addition, Danny co-founded Greater Good Labs in December 2012, where they served as the Chief Architect and Director of Engineering. Danny was responsible for designing, implementing, quality-assurance, deployment, and monitoring of deedvine.com, a platform for crowdsourcing deeds and dollars. Danny also created a shared, write-behind cache service with optimistic locking.

Before entering the industry, Danny worked as a Programmer Analyst at National Instruments from January 2004 to June 2007.

Danny McPherson attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
