Alan Maguire

Alan Maguire is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in internal audit and professional practices. Currently serving as Executive Manager and Global Head of Professional Practices at Irish Life since February 2017, Alan oversees the development and maintenance of global methodologies and quality assurance for the Great-West Lifeco Internal Audit functions across multiple countries including Canada, the US, Ireland, and the UK. Prior roles include Senior Internal Audit Manager and Internal Audit Methodology & Research Manager at Northern Ireland Water, as well as positions at KPMG in Ireland and Health and Social Care in Northern Ireland. Alan’s educational background includes qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors, LIA, ACCA, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from Ulster University, complementing a foundational degree in Human Geography & Social Anthropology from Queen's University Belfast.
