Tim Runyan

Tim Runyan has extensive work experience in the mining and energy industry. Tim began their career as an Engineering Intern at Arch Resources, Inc in 2004 and later worked as an Engineering Intern at Mtn. Laurel from 2006 to 2007. In 2008, they joined Arch Coal, Inc. as a Project Engineer at Mtn. Laurel, and over the years, they held various roles within the company, including Longwall Foreman, Move Foreman, and Construction Foreman at Mtn. Laurel, and Continuous Miner Coordinator at Beckley. From 2014 to 2017, they served as the Mine Manager for the Leer Mine at Arch Coal, Inc. In 2017, they joined ArcelorMittal as the Chief Operating Officer until 2020. Later in 2020, they became the Director of Production at Peabody Energy. Tim is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Iron Senergy.

Tim Runyan graduated from West Virginia University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering. Tim then went on to attend the University of Charleston from 2012 to 2013, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in MBA.
