Michael Dixon PMP CGFM CDFM has over 13 years of experience in project management and financial management consulting. Michael began their career in 2008 as an Associate at Clifton Gunderson LLP. In 2010, they moved to a Senior Consultant role at Grant Thornton, where they worked on USMC Statement of Budgetary Resources Audit (SBR) testing Military Payroll, Obligations, Expenses, and Advance Payments, as well as prepared Specific Control Evaluation (SCE) Worksheets and Risk Analysis Worksheets. In 2012, they joined IBM as a Senior Financial Management Consultant, where they were the Testing Team Lead (Team of 11) and designed Army Audit Readiness testing plan for Active, Reserve, and Army National Guard Military Payroll. Michael also determined testing sites world-wide based on risk and materiality, and performed Payroll Tax withholding procedures to ensure accuracy of Form 941. Michael was also the Co-Lead of the Statement of Budgetary Resources Testing Team (Team of 15), where they designed testing plans for internal control and substantive testing for all accounts, identified process test of design gaps and internal control test of effectiveness, developed testing attributes for substantive testing, and performed universe identification and executed sampling in accordance with FIAR Guidance for USSGL Accounts. In 2014, they moved to Deloitte as a Senior Financial Management Consultant. In 2015, they joined Kearney & Company as a Project Manager and most recently, in 2021, they joined IronArch Technology as a Project Manager.
Michael Dixon PMP CGFM CDFM holds a B.S in Accounting from Christopher Newport University, obtained between 2003 and 2006. Michael has also obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in May 2022, the Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) certification from the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) and the Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) certification from ASMC. Additionally, they have obtained the Federal Information Technology Security Professional - Auditor certification from the Federal Information Technology Security Institute in August 2017.
