Avi Turgeman

Avi Turgeman is the CEO and Co-Founder of IronVest. Avi has also served as a Forbes Technology Council member and as the Co-Founder & CEO of Tapingo. Prior to their entrepreneurial endeavors, Avi was a physicist for the Israel Defense Forces from January 2002 to December 2008.

Avi Turgeman’s first company, VocalZoom, was founded in 2009 with the intention of enabling voice communications and voice recognition in difficult environments. VocalZoom developed a unique Speech-Enhancement microphone which would help to maintain recognition rates under noisy conditions. The company’s technology had various applications in markets such as automotive, computing, and consumer electronics.

In January 2009, Avi Turgeman co-founded Tapingo, a company whose mission is to make any transaction mobile. As CEO of Tapingo, Avi has helped the company grow to serve over 1 million college students across 50 campuses nationwide. In August 2010, they led Tapingo’s acquisition by PayPal.
