Heather Russell has had a long and varied career in the tech industry. In 1995, they founded Usagi's House, a private marketplace for very rare and original Japanese animation art. Heather then went on to found Rinkya Inc. in 2000, which is now a global turnkey logistics-as-a-service business for Japanese merchants. Heather served as CEO until 2017, when they co-founded Biscuit Labs, an IoT company. In 2013, they served as an advisor for ChangeTip, and in 2021 they began working as an Artist & Investor for Stealth, exploring art & collectables-related projects in web3. Most recently, in 2022, they became the DAO Master & Head of Product for Irreverent Labs.
Heather Russell received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Japanese and Art from Arizona State University between 1994 and 1998. In 2014, they obtained their Sake Sommelier certification from the Sake Sommelier Association. Heather is also an Accredited Member of the Appraisers Association of America in Animation Art.
