Sandra Franco Cirera

Sandra Franco Cirera is an experienced post-doctoral researcher at the IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute since January 2007, following a prior role as a fellow at the same institute from October 2001 to December 2006, where Sandra completed their doctoral thesis on the genetic and phenotypic variability of the NS3/4A protease of the hepatitis C virus. Before this, Sandra worked as a fellow at the Liver Unit at Hospital Clínic i Provincial in Barcelona from January 1999 to October 2001. Sandra holds a doctorate in Biology from Universitat de Barcelona and has completed advanced research training in medical microbiology. Additionally, Sandra earned a degree in Biology and another in Sciences with a focus on Microbiology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
