Gary Speer

Gary Speer has over four decades of work experience, primarily in the US Army and related organizations. Gary started their career in the Army in 1972 and served as an Officer until 2009. During this time, they held the position of LTG. Gary also served as Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3 at US Army Europe and as Deputy Commanding General at Coalition Forces, Land Component Command, US Army Central Command, & 3d US Army. In 2005, they became the Deputy Commanding General/Chief of Staff at US Army Forces Command. From 2000 to 2002, they served as Acting Commander-in-Chief and Deputy Commander-in-Chief at US Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM). In addition to their military career, Gary Speer also worked as the Director of the Army Air Force Exchange Service from 2006 to 2009. Gary then became Deputy Commanding General, Acting Commanding General at US Army Europe & 7th Army and US Army NATO from 2006 to 2009. In 2010, they founded GCS Associates, LLC and served as President & CEO. Currently, they hold the position of Director at Kalmar RT Center, L.L.C. since 2012.

Gary Speer attended the United States Military Academy at West Point from 1968 to 1972, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Gary later pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Management at Webster University.
