Mara Catalan

Mara Catalan is an experienced photographer and digital fine art printer with a diverse background in the visual arts. Currently a freelance photographer for The New York Times since June 2024, Mara has also been working at Irvin Simon Photographers since 2018. Previously, Mara specialized in digital fine art printing at Skink Ink Fine Art Printing from February 2014 to 2021 and served as a master printer at Magnum Photos from 1997 to 2001, focusing on fine art book printing, exhibition printing, and commercial reproduction.
