Katie Gilleland

Katie Gilleland is an experienced educator and leader in human resources and employee services, currently serving as Senior Executive Director of HR & Employee Services at Irving ISD since April 2019. Katie's previous roles include Director of Talent Acquisition & Organizational Development and Director of Human Resources at Irving ISD, as well as positions at KIPP Texas Public Schools - DFW, where Katie contributed as Achievement Specialist, Regional ELA Coordinator, and Principal. Earlier experiences include being a founding teacher and curriculum writer, where Katie re-designed the 6th grade social studies curriculum and trained staff on effective writing instruction. Katie's educational background includes a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Abilene Christian University and a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from the University of North Texas.
