Sophie Cowan

Sophie Cowan (nee Gerty) currently serves as a Governor at The Nobel School and has held the position of General Secretary to the Resource Steering Committee at MBDA since May 2021, where responsibilities include leading recruitment and retention strategies. With a strong background in recruitment, Cowan previously worked as a Senior Recruitment Advisor at MBDA, managing UK resourcing activities across multiple domains. Additionally, Cowan has contributed as a Freedom to Speak Up Guardian at Isabel Hospice since December 2005, promoting patient safety and positive communication within the organization. Previous roles include Lead Consultant at SmartsourceGB Ltd, Director at Red Brick Associates, and Senior Executive Consultant at Good People. Cowan holds an MA in Contemporary French Studies from The University of London Institute in Paris and a BA Hons in Medieval and Modern History from the University of Birmingham.
