Batool Almarzouq is a research support facility member at The Alan Turing Institute, focusing on AI for multiple long-term conditions since January 2023, collaborating with Swansea University and the University of Edinburgh. Batool holds an honorary research fellowship at the University of Liverpool and founded the Open Science Community Saudi Arabia, leading community engagement initiatives. Additional roles include membership on the ISCB Academy Education Committee, certification as a Carpentries Instructor, and co-organizing the useR! 2021 global conference. Batool also established R-Ladies Dammam-Saudi Arabia as the first local chapter of R-Ladies Global and contributes to the R Weekly team. Previously, Batool worked as a postdoctoral researcher at King Abdullah International Medical Research Center and served as a content subject matter expert for NASA's TOPS. Batool earned a Ph.D. in Oncology and Cancer Biology from the University of Liverpool, along with a Master's in Biomedical Sciences and a Bachelor's with Honors from the same institution.
