Dien Luong currently serves as a Visiting Fellow and Associate Fellow at the ISEAS - Yusof Ishak Institute, focusing on the intersection of geopolitics, social media, online censorship, and journalism. Additionally, Dien is a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan for a course titled Views on the News and is pursuing a PhD in Communication and Media Studies at the same university. Previously, Dien held various roles in journalism, including positions as Managing Editor at VnExpress International, Assistant Managing Editor at Zing News, and Deputy Managing Editor at Thanh Nien News, as well as freelancing for major publications like The New York Times and Al Jazeera. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Education, Ho Chi Minh City.
