Michelle Yao

Michelle Yao, MD FACS, is an accomplished ophthalmologist and surgeon with extensive experience in comprehensive ophthalmology, including cataract and refractive surgery, glaucoma management, and retinal disease diagnosis. Since May 2015, Michelle has been affiliated with Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island. Additionally, Michelle has served as an attending ophthalmologist and surgeon at multiple institutions, including North Shore-LIJ Health System and NYU Winthrop Hospital. Michelle's expertise extends to advanced surgical techniques such as femtosecond laser cataract surgery, LASIK, PRK, and various office procedures. Michelle graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center, with additional education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and West Virginia University.
