Maggie O'Shea is a graduate research assistant at Duke University Nicholas School of the Environment, focusing on cetacean abundance modeling through the Marine Geospatial Ecology Lab. Concurrently, Maggie serves as a research intern at the Island Institute, analyzing coastal housing access and climate change's impact on the Maine lobstering industry. Previously, Maggie contributed to research on coastal habitat protection policies at the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions and developed a Climate Change Action Plan implementation program as a CivicSpark Climate Resilience Fellow at Valley Water. Educational credentials include a PhD from Dartmouth College, a Masters in Environmental Management from Duke University, and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from Bates College, complemented by a Certificate in Natural Hazards Resilience from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
