Rachel Tait

Museum Curator at Isle of Wight Council

Rachel Tait is an experienced museum curator and art historian with a strong background in managing museum operations and education. Since May 2014, Rachel has worked at the Isle of Wight Council as a Museum Curator and Research and Interpretation Assistant at Newport Roman Villa, where responsibilities include site supervision and coordination of the Isle of Wight Museums and Schools programme. Previous roles include curator positions at Carisbrooke Castle Museum and Dimbola Museum & Galleries, as well as assistant curator at Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales, where Rachel conducted research on the Graham Sutherland collection. Additional experience includes teaching at the University of Bristol, caring for the History of Art library, and providing interpretation at Arnolfini. Rachel holds a PhD, MA, and BA (Hons) in History of Art from the University of Bristol.
