Derrick Smith

Derrick Smith is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in management and executive support roles. Currently serving as a Manager Trainee at 84 Lumber since January 2020, Derrick also holds the position of Executive Assistant at ISM, Inc. since October 2017, where responsibilities include managing complex calendars and arranging domestic and international travel for senior leadership. Prior to these roles, Derrick was a Project Manager at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from April 2010 to September 2017, overseeing budget preparation, financial forecasting, and employee training coordination. Derrick earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Grambling State University from 1995 to 2000.
