Mark D'Alesio is a researcher currently engaged in work related to patient outcomes on Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) devices at ISMETT since May 2020 and has been researching surgical and medical interventions for pancreatic cancer at UPMC since December 2019. With a strong educational background, Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Italian Language and Literature from the University of Pittsburgh, where studies were completed between 2015 and 2019. Previous experiences include roles as an English Second Language Tutor with A.C.L.E. in Italy, a fellow with the National Italian American Foundation's NIAF on Campus program, and multiple research internships at esteemed institutions such as Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Mark has also served as a teaching assistant for several biology and chemistry courses at the University of Pittsburgh.
