Gerard Vidal is the Co-Founder and CTO of Opscura, focusing on developing advanced industrial cybersecurity solutions since February 2023. Currently serving as an Associate Professor for the Master in Cybersecurity program at Mondragon Unibertsitatea and as an Invited Professor at Tecnun - Universidad de Navarra, Gerard specializes in cryptography and telecommunications. Gerard has extensive experience as an expert for ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC7 Software and Systems Engineering since 2016 and previously held the position of Co-Founder and CEO at Enigmedia, where Gerard transformed scientific discoveries into impactful business solutions from October 2011 to February 2023. Earlier roles include R&D Manager at Scientifica Internacional S.L. and a PhD candidate at Universidad de Navarra, culminating in a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics. Gerard also holds an Ingeniero degree in Telecommunications from the University of Navarra and participated in the Ignite Programme at the University of Cambridge.
