David W. Jensen received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University (BYU), and an S.M. and Ph.D. in Aerospace Structures from MIT. Dr. Jensen was an Assistant and Associate Professor of Aerospace Engineering at Penn State prior to returning to BYU, where he served as Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. At BYU, Dr. Jensen developed the IsoTruss® technology (a family of lightweight composite structural configurations) and invented a machine to continuously fabricate lattice structures. Dr. Jensen served on the AIAA Board as the Technical Director of the Structures, Design and Test Group. Awards include a Stoel-Rives “Utah Innovation of the Year Award,” “BYU Outstanding Achievements in Technology Transfer Award,” and AIAA Sustained Service Award.
