Tim Kittappa

Performing Arts & English Teacher at ISPH

Tim graduated from the University of Wales in 2003, gaining a BA (Hons) Degree in Drama and Education. Since qualifying, he has worked in a range of leading schools both in the UK and around the world, teaching Drama, Music and English to students of all ages.

In addition to curriculum expertise and regular lessons, Tim has an impressive track-record of developing and expanding the quality and scope of whole-school Performing Arts programmes within each of his previous schools. This has included planning and directing many successful whole-school productions, concerts and community arts events.

Tim's work often involves collaboration with professional actors and directors, as well as forming partnerships with other international schools. In 2012, Tim created a new Drama Academy in Hertfordshire (UK), providing young people with the opportunity to work with and learn from industry leaders and experts, on a variety of creative projects.

He was also a founding member of the Poggibonsi Drama Festival, which involves schools from around the world with students performing culturally relevant work in a professional and high-achieving international arena.

Tim is a firm believer that the confidence and large range of transferable skills developed through Performing Arts hugely benefits students throughout their wider learning in school, and well into their lives in the future.

Outside of school Tim is a keen sportsman, enjoying football, cricket and athletics. He also enjoys cooking, travel, and experiencing food and culture from around the world.
