Bruce Kropp

Bruce Kropp has over 40 years of work experience in various roles in the technology industry. Bruce currently works as a Sr. Software Engineer at ISYS Technologies. Prior to that, they spent 17 years at Intel Corporation as a Software Configuration Manager, where they were responsible for driving continuous integration and automation of software development processes. Bruce also has experience as a Manager and Lead Information Systems Analyst at the City of Portland, where they led a team in providing technical support for customer information systems. Additionally, they worked at Lucent Technologies as a Sr. Software Engineer, leading a software development team for messaging and media solutions. Earlier in their career, they served as a Sr. Systems Engineer at Atlas Telecom, a Software Engineer at ADC Kentrox, an Air Quality Meteorologist at Environmental Research and Technologies, and an Assistant to the State Climatologist at the Office of State Climatology of Oregon. Bruce'sareas of expertise include full-stack and API software design and programming, network services security, agile methodology, and network management software applications.

Bruce Kropp attended Oregon State University from 1987 to 1991, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science / Physics. Prior to that, they also attended Oregon State University and completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology in 1984. Currently, Bruce is pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Management of Science and Technology at Oregon Health & Science University, with an expected completion date in the future.
